Certificate Short Courses

Huntington College of Health Sciences offers the following four individual certificate short-courses as an alternative to conventional college credit courses. The certificate short-courses are shorter, more condensed and are given without the award of college credits. Each course will be graded on a pass/no pass basis. A Certificate of Completion is awarded upon successful completion.

These courses are intended to provide basic and specialized knowledge to individuals within the nutritional/natural products field (retail, fitness or clinical setting) in order to enhance their knowledge and credibility. They are also well suited for those who seek to further their own personal knowledge in nutrition in order to help family and friends.

Students will be assisted through their studies with a course study guide. This guide will help students organize, plan and focus their studies in order to maximize learning from the course materials. These materials include a textbook and audiotapes. On average, a student studying five hours a week should be able to complete a course in five weeks.

The all inclusive cost for each course is $220. This includes the tuition, registration fee, books, audiotapes, materials and shipping. In consideration of the fact that multiple individuals within an organization may wish to utilize the learning materials in the certificate short-courses, the purchaser of each course is given license to use the course materials for up to five employees/associates. Although the cost for each course only allows one individual to take the test and earn the Certificate of Completion, up to four other individuals, reusing the course materials, may also take the test for an additional cost of $50 each. In essence, this averages down the certificate short course to $84.00 per student.

These Certificate Short-Courses are administered from the College’s California location.
